Platformr: A Platform for AWS CloudOps

As the software landscape continues its rapid evolution towards Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), the demand for robust cloud platforms has never been greater. Amazon Web Services (AWS) stands as the industry titan, offering a vast array of tools and services for developers. However, harnessing the full potential of AWS requires a level of expertise that can be challenging to find. 

Enter Platformr, a CloudOps platform designed to streamline and accelerate the deployment of technology solutions on AWS. CloudOps, a relatively new category of software, is poised for significant growth as companies grapple with increasingly complex cloud environments. Platformr's prescriptive approach is tailored for small to mid-sized businesses seeking to leverage AWS while addressing common challenges like time-to-market pressures, governance issues, scalability concerns, and security risks. 

OVF's decision to lead Platformr's $2.5 million pre-seed round was driven by several key factors. First, the founding team's extensive experience in the field, coupled with their deep customer relationships, demonstrated a clear understanding of the market's needs. Second, Platformr's focus on simplifying AWS deployments aligns with the growing demand for accessible and efficient cloud solutions.  

One of the most intriguing aspects of Platformr's business model is its strategic partnership with AWS. While AWS excels at providing powerful tools, it often relies on third-party service providers to help customers optimize their installations. Platformr's platform empowers these service providers, allowing them to deliver more value to their clients and accelerate their time-to-market. 

Founder Ryan Comingdeer has rapidly put in place an experienced team of advisors and we're excited to have Jim Gochee, a seasoned DevOps expert, join Platformr's board. Jim’s insights will be invaluable as the company continues to scale and innovate.
